Nativetxn's husband...updated 7:00pm on first post.

I wanted to let all of you know that have been following her husband's illness and surgery that he is out of the OR and will be in ICU overnight. They believe they got all of the cancer and they did remove the kidney....so that is a good thing...

I know Kath would want to thank all of you for your prayers and good wishes and as soon as she can, I know she will post..

7:00pm, I wanted to let you all know that she is well aware that all of you were praying for him and she is truly grateful. This was quite an operation as the tumor had invaded the vena cavae and so it was a 6 hour surgery with 3 teams working on him....he is doing well, he will be in ICU tonight, they are keeping him sedated so that he does not move around too much as this surgery was quite extensive....

One more thought, I thought this was so Katholyn, you know how proud she is of being a Texan, she walked beside her husband as they wheeled him to the OR, holding his hand....singing "The eyes of Texas are upon you," he went to the OR smiling. God love him..

Thank you for the report. I've been wondering how things were going. I hope the surgery was a complete success. Prayers continue for positive results. I hope Kath can get some much needed rest.

Hoping he has an easy recovery.
DHs kidney (and all of the cancer) was removed on a Tues. He was up walking the hospital (not just the floor) Wed and released on Sat. Came home w/Vicodin but never used it.
