National to Port-problems?

I have received my best rate with National. However, I don't understand the procedure on getting back to the port. We will be returning to National and then on to the port. Anybody have any experience with them? We want to be the first ones at the port Or would you recommend using another rental company on the ease to the port? We would only be using them 1 way- just returning the car and getting to the port. I guess we would have to use a taxi - any problems with that? TIA

we used Budget at the port and their shuttle was great...... I think Avis has a shuttle too.

Yes, I believe with National you have to get a taxi.
