when i did it yesterday it was a base rate of 125$ and total cost of 119$ with discounts and all the "grabs" in....

so it must be picking up for that time period in orlando.....

anyone else found their dates have changed dramatically....????

I noticed ALAMO's rates have gone up also. I put in my dates (Dec 1-6) and the base rate went from $87 (4 door compact; 5 days) to $133. I'm glad I booked when I did.

My dates have gone up also, Nov 1-10. I have a 9 day rental for 168.00 now the price is 211.

I just checked my rates with National for Nov 16-24 and found they are still $20 higher (170 with taxes) but found that they have gone done from last week. You may want to check them again!

With less customers but the same inventory rental places will be raising rates. Why? Because instead of lowering so more people book they simply lower it at the last minute as a different strategy.

We had a full-size car with National Nov 30- Dec 8.. final rate was 190. Went through price line bid 22 per day for a mini-van... final rate about 240. It will be well worth the extra 50 bucks to have a minivan. We got Budget from Priceline so we wont even have to go off site.
