National rates down-mid June

I checked this morning (June 19-28) and with the Last Minute rates and the $35/week rental I was able to drop by rate from $268 to 220 for a midsize.

I'll check tomorrow to see if the rates change at all. The funny thing is that the Last Minute rates indicated that they were for rentals through 6/8 - I just tried it for the fun of it!

I just now booked a full size via Alamo for $187(before tax) for 8 days, 6/21=6/29. Couldn't sleep, went to website and clicked on hot deals. It says only through 6/16, but they took my dates.
I was going crazy, not finding anything under $400 until now. My loss (of sleep) is now my gain!!!

I can find great rates but what is with the mandatory fees at Orlando airport?? Is that every company that has those crazy mandatory fees?

Thanks for posting all of this info. I am still trying to decide about renting a car. I have been looking to possibly pick up from Dolphin since it is a bit cheaper than MCO. So we might end up using ME and just using the car at WDW.
