I just rebooked my rental car for May 22-30 for an awesome price of $139! :cool1: Extremely happy about that. It was $190, then I rebooked again for $170 last week and now it's down even more. I used the Priceless code with an Entertainment $20 off coupon.

I will check out the Magical Express and see how that does once it starts in May, so I may cancel and just use that if it works out well for everyone before we leave.

But, for those of you wanting to rent cars, try repricing and see if you get the lower rates.
Lots of Pixie Dust for you all!!! :wizard:

LOL, I beat you by a day. Glad to see we are all looking out for each other! I was telling DW that it is amazing how we are saving money as the trip gets closer... We also had a laugh about all of those people who don't have a clue and just book their car and never check back........

I have rebooked my April reservation 5 times now! It has gone down from $215 to $120, this last time it dropped $20. :sunny:

Help, Can you tell me a littel more info about the "priceless code" I booked our minivan for July1-15 and it is going to be well over $700. We HAVE to have a van for DS who is handicapped. I would love some info on this code if you dont mind sharing! Thanks so much.

This is the first year that I've booked a rental car (usually use towncar & Disney transport.)

I've got a week (8/28 to 9/3) w/Emerald Aisle, interm. car for $153. I've checked back a few times, but the price has stayed the same (using Priceless code and Entertainment Book coupon).

If I come across a better deal, do you make a new reservation and then cancel or is there a way to re-price your existing ressie?

Thanks for any help!!

The full size van is always pricy. Our DS is also wheelchair-bound but still just 7 yrs old so we can get away with a minivan (load DS in his special car seat and his wheelchair as cargo in the back). For this we have done Emerald Reserve and always gotten and Grand Caravan which has plenty of room of us.

For our April trip, the minivan price has come down from over $400 to closer to $320, but still a little rich for my tastes. Since we're a large group in April, we're currently planning on renting a full-size for 5 of the 7 and getting Mears to chauffeur Mom and DS. It's cheaper than all of us going Mears, and we'll at least have a car for groceries, trips to DTD or the water parks, etc. We're happy riding the Disney buses to the parks since we're on-site and already paying for it. Oh, and our rate on the full size for 6 days in April vacation (Mass) went from $212 to $167.

Our experience with Mears has been that they send a wheelchair van for us, essentialy a personal chauffeur. I'm sure with Mears ramping up to do Magical Express, they will accommodate more of us wheelchair folks on their big buses, but that's a chance I'll take. Hey and once there's Magical Express in place, it'll be free, so no biggie if we have to ride a bus with others. I'm betting they send a van for us in April.

But D, L & K's Mom, if you're going after May 5, just sign up for Magical Express if you're on-site, and renting a full-size van is wicked pricy, always. Also, I'd recommend posting your question on the DISabilities board, where there are lots of us wheelchair using families with lots of experience getting full-size vans and minivans and getting wheelchairs into them. SueMinMN, our beloved moderatrix is especially knowledgable with her vast experience with her now teenaged wheelchair-bound DD. Good luck!

Priceless contract code is 6600330 and the Entertainment coupon code is 10009123. I do have the 05 Entertainment Book, but I printed both coupons off of rentalcodes.com under National in the drop down for rental cars. If you don't have National, go to Mousesavers there is way there to sign up for free under the rental car section.
Good Luck!

Hi Jane,
If I see a better price, I book that one; then go back in under "view/modify/cancel" and cancel the I had before. I've done it 3 times so far in about a months time. I've done it on previous trips too and have had no problems. That is a good price you have, but lower is always better! :goodvibes Give it another shot and see if you can go lower.
Have fun and good luck!

I jus tlove all the people here. Everyone is so helpful. I have booked a mini van just in case using my "national members thing"( I can't remember the name). I am going to spend tomorrow night reserching all the possibilites everyone came up with for me. Believe me I have researched the codes etc and I am hoping for a much better rate. Thanks again for all the help!

It doesn't sound like much but that's snacks one day in a park! My rate for a standard size for 9 days went from $186 to $175 plus change. And this is for during Easter.

Ok... I think I'm the only one "rental car challenged" here.
I've plugged in about 15 different codes (amex, ent book, casino guide, walmart etc) and I can't get a minivan for 9 days less than $300. When I see these "deals" on rental car companies websites for a minivan for $189/week... I think surely with discount codes I could get a van for under $250 for 9 days. I'm really holding out for that... but am I holding out for the impossible??

Here's our info:

Pick up: MCO 6/18 9pm
Drop off: TPA 6/27 noon

Can someone please help! :guilty:

I'll be watching this also. I am going for 9 days march 24-April 2nd. Best rate I have so far is $377.00 plus tax from budget. We need 3 mini vans so I would love a better price.

:rotfl: :rotfl: Same here. Rebooked 4 times, with National, and 2 times with Budget. My DH, and kids think I'm the vacation goddess :love1:

Sticking with the $139.00 for 8 days with National. WOW :earseek: I'm so thrilled.

 I am so thankful for these boards, and mousesavers for the tip on the free Emerald club.

Most of us who are getting a really cheap price, are renting an intermediate, through the Emerald Club, and hoping for an upgrade.

If you definately need the minivan, you need to book it, since with the Emerald Aisle, you are only guaranteed an midsize.

Hoping you do find a bargain, though!! :wizard:

Thanks! I lowered my rate once again. I'm using the $20 off coupon, + priceless code for 8 day rental of full size for $144! Yippie!

Me Too!! I just saved over $50 in switching from Alamo to National.....

$200.87 for a Full Size for 10 days using the Priceless and Entertainment codes!!

Thanks!!

I think we're in double digits now - I'm going to post this and look at my countdown!!
