I just booked with National for our Aug WDW trip. I was surprised that the Mid-size SUV was actually $50 cheaper than the EA intermediate car.
It says that it is a Chevy Equinox (or similar). Is that what they usually have in MCO? If not, what other SUV's are in this category?
I've only used the EA in MCO.

Bump!

I'd like to know, too. We usually get a minivan, but they're still over $100 more than a mid-size SUV for Labor Day week, so we're going with the SUV instead.

Hi,
Last year when we were there we also booked a mis size SUV because it was cheaper. they had Jeep Liberty, Saturn Vue's mostly. We took the vue because there was not much luggage room in the liberty. I was surprised it offered a very nice comfortable ride. have a great trip !

Just FYI, it's not at all unusual for 5-passenger SUV's to be cheaper to rent than smaller cars at times when gas prices are high. People don't want to rent vehicles with poor gas mileage at those times, so they can't move those SUV's off the lot unless they deeply discount them.

Thanks for the replies. I would be happy with a Vue also. We got one from the EA earlier this year and it was very nice. I am actually looking at buying the new '08 Vue. It has a much nicer look than the previous models.

Since there are only 3 of us, the room isn't that big of a deal.
On the gas topioc, I doubt we will spend the difference in price in gas. Not travelling to far with it.

Typically, we get a Vue (they've tried to pass off PT Cruisers one trip lol).

Last trip 2 left on aisle, jeep & a Toyota (rave?)

I liked the Toyota, very small, yet handled great.

As for gas mileage, I drive a mid-sized SUV - Buick Rendezvous; gas mileage isn't too bad (19 - 20 city, 23 - 25 hwy).

We drove the Toyota to Epcot/MGM/AK/DTD at least 6 different times from WL, then up to Universal; barely used $13 in gas...not too shabby imo.

Kia Sorrento last week but we booked midsize on Emerald Aisle and it (and several others) were there.

I have rented from Alamo at MCO so basically same company.
I've had
Chevy Equinox!!!
Saturn Vue!!!!!!!
And a drove like steam tank Buick rennoouvus.

I also saw jeep liberty

I loved the chevy and the saturn , I now own a saturn vue.
