National Executive Upgrade with AmEx

I'm sure some of the seasoned travelers here know this, but I just discovered that an upgrade to Executive status is a benefit with American Express -- if you have a qualifying card (Platinum, not sure about others) it's listed under benefits in your online account. You don't need a new Emerald Club membership; if you already have one it will upgrade the status of your current membership once you click the link -- good through February 2023. Our DVC Welcome Home trip is in October 2021 and I'm excited to finally be able to pick from the Executive Aisle instead of the regular Emerald Aisle! We never had enough rentals to qualify for Executive before. I'm a car guy... last time we flew into MCO we were just regular Emerald Aisle members and got a Chevy Equinox. It sounds like the Executive Aisle can have some fun upgrades, if available.

No mention of it on the Gold card website, so I'd say it's Platinum only. It's definitely not available on fee-free cards.
