National - Emerald Club

I saw on National's website that you can join the Emerald Club and they are waiving the $50 fee.

Is it worth it? Any cons with joining?

National has no doubt the best rental program in the industry (The Emerald Club). At major airports, you can completely bypass the counter and choose any vehicle in your reserved class. Or, if you reserve an intermediate size car, you go to a special area called The Emerald Aisle. The cars on the Emerald Aisle are at least intermediates, but you may have the choice of taking larger vehicles like Minivan's, SUV's or Convertables at no extra charge!! In smaller locations, you preceed to the special Emerald Club line, where you cut in front of everyone and sign a few papers and you are on your way. There really are no cons, beside the $50 fee for joining, which is currently being waved.

It saved my husband about a 30-45 minute wait at the MCO counter last July. He thought that was the best thing since sliced bread, he only waited behind 2 people instead of 25 or 30. I'm not sure if you get better rates being a member, but just for for the time savings I think it's worth it.

There are certain discount codes that you can find from www.mousesavers.com that are Emerald Member exclusive contract ID. Its actually contract ID 500175

we also have the emerald club and its great but nationals prices are really high right now
you can also use alamos ***********program and there rates are much better right now
