National EA ??

Hi,

I am hoping that all you EA experts can help me with this. I am trying to book a reservation using my EA number so that I can obviously bypass the counter. I am using a code from mousesavers along with a coupon from the entertainment book. If I book it with the EA number it is about 100.00 more than if I book it without it. Any advise? Has this ever happened to anyone else

we are EA members also. Our trip isn't until August 11th - 22nd.

The rate we have is $303.

Try this.....

Use contract ID 5125601. It is an AMEX code. We have Amex and thats what we use.. BUT...you don't need to have the AMex card to use it.

Use coupon ID....10009013. Its a BJ's code for $20 off.

We have plugged in all the available contract ID's and coupon codes and the cheapest we have so far is the one I have above.

As our trip gets closer...there usually is other discounts that will be available. The discounts on mousesavers all expire June 15th.

When its all said and done, our rental car will cost us about $230 to $250. Somewhere about $23-$24 per day. Not bad.

I dont think its a good idea to use a code or coupon if you cant produce it at the time of rental. I doubt american express offers discounts to non-card holders.

There are plenty of "good for anyone" codes to be found at mousesavers.com.

Kathy - you don't need to use the EA contract ID when making your reservation. I always use a different contract ID when making a reservation for a cheaper price. I still reserve an intermediate through EA though - just not using the EA# in the contract ID space. Hope this makes sense........

thank you for your response. I actually did not use the EA contract code. I used the contract code from Carlson Wagonlit agency that I found on Mousesavers but I made the reservation by logging in as a
EA member so that the reservation would say emeral aisle. This is where I ran into trouble. If I made the reservation as a regular customer it was 100.00 cheaper.

Please if you can help I would really appreciate. This is driving me crazy

I got a pretty good rate for May using the Emerald Club Code 5007125 and the free day coupon I got for renting last fall. My rate is down to $124 total (originally was $189) for May 2 to 8, intermediate w/EA. For some reason, the Priceless contract code would not work with the free day.

Try a different contract code. sometimes Carlson does NOT work in your favor.

Update - I got the priceless code to work with the free day. Down to $119!
