I have rented from National several times and have encountered something I've never seen before. I stacked a Mousesavers code with the Entertainment Book Free Weekend day when renting a midsized through fullsized which I have done several times in multiple cities. So I put in the info and on the second page the compact car is highlighted and says coupon will be applied. So I click the compact and sure enough the coupon is applied to the compact and it is about $10 cheaper than the midsized. The issue is, according to the coupon compact isn't eligible for the discount. What to do? Is it worth the possible hassle at the counter to save $10? On the surface I would say why should I be held responsible for their website quirk but I like to make the rental process as painless as possible. Any comments?
