A couple of questions for all of you helpful people out there. With the great rates that National is having right now, especially using the priceless code and the code from the entertainment book (that I just ordered today 1/2 off) we are thinking about using them when we are at Disney in July. My problem is that when I went through the link on Mousesavers to sign up for the Emerald club the site said that you must use a credit card not a debit card, that a debit card is considered like cash. We use our debit card for everything. Has anyone used their debit card when making a reservation with National? If so, did you have any problems? Also any really good or really bad experiences with the National rental in Orlando?
Thanks

you need a credit card to make the reservation. you can always pay, when you return, with a debit card, i think.

when you sign up and try to use the debit card, it will not allow you to use it, it will bounce back and state something to that effect. If you do manage to get your debit card by that detection process and National discovers it, it will cancel your reservation. You will need a credit card to book, but, can pay with a debit card when you return the car. They don't charge your card until the end of the rental period, they only place a hold for the amount of the rental which drops off if it is not processed.

I believe you need a credit card to make the rental, as well.

National at MCO is awesome. I won't use any other agency. Emerald Aisle is a great way to go!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but you can use a Visa or MC Debit car for the reservation with proof of round trip airfare... maybe not to use Emerald club, but for just the regular reservation.

That policy is for Alamo and a few others. National requires a credit card.

Wow... that is what my rental reservation says right on it (debt card with round trip tickets). I guess that I better call them since we have no credit cards.
