National Car Rental for a few days

Does anyone know of codes and discounts for a 4 day rental? Most of the discounts are for weekend days and weekly rentals. Right now it is cheaper for me to rent for 5 days vs only 4 days. Thanks.

I had that same problem - I only needed 4 days. I ended up getting it for 5 days because at 5 days you're eligible for a weekly rate. I ended up getting it for MUCH cheaper than I would have gotten for 4 days.

That will be great if you keep it for the 5 days, but, if you return it after 4 days, expect to have that rate reverted to 4 day (daily) rate. If you happen to have rented already and not had the rate reverted, you are, indeed, lucky.
It does not happen often.

Are you sure if I return the car 1 day early, the rate will revert to a 4 day vs 1 week rate???? It should be to their benefit that I am returning it 1 day early...... I reread my contract and it says a min of 5 days will be charged. It does not say anything about a penalty should I return it early.

Any suggestions out there?

Yeah, my contract doesn't say anything about a penalty for returning it early either. I'm going to start a new thread - perhaps some people with experience will chime in.

And it will be to their benfit. THey will charge you more! Turst me....That min of 5 days means you HAVE to keep the car five days to qualify for a weekly rate. Otherwise business travelers like me would book the car for five days and just return it early.

When you return early they can flip you to the daily walk up rate since you didn't meet the minimum. NO DISCOUNTS and LOTS of money. (My last one was around $70 a day. It was for work so I just paid, but...)
