Hey folks!
Im going to be renting from National at MCO in a few weeks, and I was wondering if anyone knew how much of an authorization/deposit they typically on your credit card at this location (I'm an Emerald Member, doesn't matter I'm sure, but just in case haha).

Thanks!

National will actually charge you for your rental when you pick up your car. The amount of the rental only is charged to your card.

In our experience, we don't see evidence of a hold OR charge on our CC until AFTER we have returned our car to National. 3 long Orlando rentals (upwards of 2 weeks each time, so PLENTY of time to see a hold) and 1 Seattle rental. Don't see a thing until we are home.

Your experience may vary. :)

True, it would be, but, I do know they charge the car when you take it out, Alamo puts a hold for the amount(and gets and authorization), but, National charges and gets an authorization immediately, it is on the bottom of your contract. That is my experience as an exit agent for National/Alamo.

Oh awesome! Thanks guys! :)

One note about authorizations when renting. They can be the frustrating part of deposits, because when they put a hold on your credit card, the hold it self will not actually appear on your credit card ever in your list of transactions because they are not actually charging when they do the auth, its just holding a certain amount of funds so that they make sure youll have enough to pay the rental and any incidentals should they come up during your rental.

But if they just do it at the beginning and just for the amount of the rental thats awesome
