National/Alamo rates in Jan.

Anyone else finding the rates are high since the redesign of their website (National)? My dates are Jan 26-31 for EA and with a free weekend day code/coupon and the PC contract rate, the lowest I can find for either site is $136!! In Sept./Oct. for the same amt. of time I paid $88. Was thinking of trying other rental companies...

Anyone else in the same boat???

Is that code working? All the codes I see are up to the end of the year for National. I have the same problem, the rates have been high lately. I need Jan19-28th, I got an Eqinox for $205 at Alamo for those dates. It was the best I could do. I would rather do EA but I couldn't deal with the rates. I will keep checking though.

Actually I'm using a VISA code from the VISA site which is good thru 2/28/06. Still haven't decided whether I'm going to buy an Ent. book yet for next year.
