In my short 5 years of skiing I can not tell you how many times I've gotten side swiped, especially near beginner and green trails.

Yeah skiing is a dangerous sport. This was a freak thing.

On a side not, my uncle in Arizona got into a freak skiing accident a few weeks ago. He lost a skii and hit into countless trees and other obstacles. His heart stopped twice while he was being airlifted. Thankfully, he survived.

me and my grandma were saying she had very little chance of survival and BOOM is showed up as breaking news on CNN.

she was bleeding between her skull and her brain which is NOT GOOD. my mom was right. she gave her a few hours

Other people don't have the fame/money/power/influence to make their stories known. Sad fact of life.

I feel bad for her family. They're definately in my thoughts.

Skiing is incredibly dangerous. My tutor's uncle got into a ski accident a few weeks ago. I don't know the exact details, but he also had a hematoma, was in the ICU, and had family and friends around because they thought he was going to die. He survived.

When you have a certain type of brain bleed, it's fatal within hours. Ms. Richardson could've had a subarachnoid hematoma. They usually are the most fatal hematoma, and she had the symptoms. You have a heard trauma and feel fine. Hours later it starts to set in and you're gone in a few hours.
So sad.

Not people we know. Or admire, or see in movies, or on tv.

Whilst I do recognise that people die everyday of the similar situations of the celebrites talked about above, I think that kind of conversation isn't suited to this particular thread because it will undoubtedly upset people.

My thoughts are with her friends and family.
