Hi guys,
okay so i went with my family to discovery cove on 4/26 (saturday) our dolphin swim was second to last because we got there pretty late (10am)
anyway everyoen else has given a good layout of exactly what to expect i just wnated to tell everyone so we were a group of eight people in our dolphin swim, 5/8 were from my family. our dolphin was natasha, and during our swim the trainers taught as a hand signal to show a jumping trick and our dolphin natasha and another dolphin collided. the trainers hardly reacted but then the dolphin didnt come back (it was a HUGE kaboom when they collided) we were all very worried, but trainers kept it cool- maybe they are trained to do so. anyway when they realized hwo seriously natasha was hurt they immediately took us all out of the water and about 20 trainers dove in to get natasha, they had about 10 dragging her out from teh water and another 10 on land helping tug her out. they had a stretcher and the vets and everything came- meanwhile they moved us to the video room- for a good 25 minutes. we still didnt finish our swim so we just waited until they took us to another lagoon. anyway they gave us 10 min with another dolphin (i forgot his name) but the photographers and video ppl never showed up from the original lagoon. this gave us a very incomplete video and photos. at that time they had told us natasha was fine when i came back to new york they had announced that natasha had passed away. very very tragic and unfortunate! just thought id share- natasha was such a cutie and she even had a baby
