My wife has a nat west account that gives us free travel insurance-just wondering if anyone has used this and would reccomend.
Ive always used a seperate travel insurance but Nat West have said theres is quite comprehensive.
Many thanks in advance

I use it all the time, it appears to be as good as any other around.

As a travel agent my (nervous) clients constantly get me to check their travel insurance to see if its sufficient, I can confidently say Natwest along with LLoyds TSB are the two best ones provided by high street banks! HTH

The Natwest Travel insurance that come free with your account it known as a "5 star" policy, this is supposed to mean it provides very good cover for you and your family.- You dont need to buy any other travel insurance

And Yes I work for Natwest LOL

:sunny: Hi

I've been using Natwest insurence for 4 years now. I have unfortunately had to claim twice. The first time was because i got sick during a trip to the US and ended up in the emergancy room. I paid the bill whilst i was there and they gave me a detailed invoice for my insurence. The second time i lost someone very close to me the night before my trip so couldn't go. Each time they paid the claim with little fuss minus the £50 excess.

If you want you can "top up" the policy for greater cover. It was £30 last year. It covers you and your dependant partner. Not sure how much it is currently.

One tip :) , i lost my policy document recently so rang for a new one. The guy i spoke to asked for details of my trip. He said it was easier if i had to claim if they had a log of my travel datails in advance- not a requirement though but simple to do over the telephone.

Have a great trip. :goodvibes

We have the same thing with Barclays and having worked in that industry i know theres is a good cover! im sure Nat West would be the same too. I never really thought much about it untill a friend had medical problems abroad last yeah and Barclays were great sorted everything out, even flew her mum out to spain! Im sure Nat West would be the same!
