Nassau or not to Nassau?

We have been to Nassau twice and enjoyed it. Our favorite place to go is Atlantis. We are going again October 10th and booked a room this time so we could enjoy all of the amenities.

We wasted $38 each on Blue Lagoon Beach day. Wish we'd stayed aboard ship. We got off Blue Lagoon island as fast as we could (2pm ferry) and encountered several locals who almost knocked me off the sidewalk, who were very drunk and who made several smart lude remarks to my adult DD. It was a little scary to be honest, and this was within sight of the ship - a block away. Next time I'll take Barbs lead and just pretend it's a day at sea.

Can you bring in a cooler with food to the pool area?

We are considering Atlantis during our October cruise and am trying to get as much info as possible. There are 3 of us and Atlantis will be just about what an excursion would cost us plus we could spend as much time there as we like. We haven't booked yet still thinking about it. It is good to hear past experiences - the good and bad.

SC Minnie,
When in October are you going?? We are going the 10th and are from Charleston. We are planning on taking non-perishable foods with us for Atlantis like chips, fruit cups, juice boxes and P&J sandwiches. I don't know if you can take a cooler to Atlantis or not. I know I am trying to take a little as possible. I am taking a day bag with change of clothes so I can shower in my room before returning to the ship..

Tluvs2talk- we are sailing on the 17th. We were thinking of packing sandwiches, chips, & drinks in a small soft sided cooler. We did that on the Jan cruise when we to the beach on St Thomas. We may not even need a cooler and just store everything in a day bag.
