Nassau on your own...need excursion??

Do you need to book some sort of excursion to get off the boat in Nassau or are there cabs by the port where you can get off and go off to the Atlantis or something else on your own?

There are plenty of cabs! On our last cruise we caught a cab to Ardastra Gardens...it was about $3 per person each way.

We're planning on catching a cab to Atlantis, check into the Comfort Suites and play in the Atlantis pools all day!

You can definately do your own thing. Just don't let the local people freak you out as they are very pushy and can be intimidating to some people. It was scary for some of the kids on our cruise(and maybe some adults) but a polite no thank you and keep walking usually works just fine.
