Nassau - Crystal Cay

I will be on the 4-day Wonder soon and was wondering if anyone had been to Crystal Cay while in Nassau and whether there was a beach or snorkeling there.

Also are there public beaches on Paradise Island within walking distance of the water taxis?

It has been 13 years but we were there on our honeymoon and there was a beach and you could snorkel there. Very pretty water.

Not sure we want to book an excursion to just go to the beach.
