edited because I really overslept today, lol! I finally found BNA-MCO for $39, but I couldn't get a return for $39, or anything even close! I went ahead and booked the first part for $39, hopefully something else will open up for the return.

Am I likely to see this open again to try for a cheap return?

(these are for friends, I am flying out of STL three days before)

Oops, I didn't see the other thread on this before I posted. I wondered how I could oversleep and still be the first one to post about this! LOL

what are your travel dates?

I'm finding anything around Columbus Day is already sold out for return flights.

Good luck!!

thanks madge. I got them booked on Oct 10th (Columbus Day) in the evening out to MCO for $39, but they want to return on the following Sunday Oct 16th. Nothing showing for that date except full fare. I may have to get them full fare tickets for that leg of the trip. Makes me wish I snapped up the $99 fare they were offering last week. That would actually have been cheaper than $39 one way, then $170 return. LOL

Oh well. I'll keep trying. It can't get much more expensive than $170 for the one way return, can it?!

Just wanted to add that Delta has a return for only $124 for Sunday. I think I might go ahead and book them on that. Unfortunately the flight shows only two seats sold already--that makes me scared it will get cancelled if noone else buys seats! Do you think that will happen? Or will it fill up with folks who can't get on the SWA flights on SUnday afternoon?

Oh man, now I am really kicking myself! Delta will fly them roundtrip on those dates for $115!! Can I cancel the SWA tix?? :(

I'm not sure what the cancellation policy is SWA. Some people have luck getting money back, but most of the time I believe you get flight credit.

Most of the SWA has these big sales, the other airlines follow suit.

OK, I solved it this way: they fly out on SWA for $39. They are returning on Delta (who is apparently trying to match SWA's sale) for $57. Total airfare for three people for both flights comes to: $316.20. I can live with that. :)

(Hope my friends like it!)

Just wanted to add thanks for holding my hand through this, madge.
(I'm not soaking in palmolive, am I? LOL )
