The 14th race this season is the "pocono 400 at Pocono Raceway on SUNDAY, June 2nd.
Qualifying is set for SATURDAY, June 1st. Please make your picks before qualifying is scheduled to begin.
Some fun facts and tidbits:
Pocono Race way is also called the "Tricky Triangle" due to its unique shape and varying degrees in the banks. The track is 2.5 miles in length with long straightaways and xorner curves. There will be 160 laosp raced so the total race distance is 400 miles.
Jeff Gordon won here a lot in both the spring and in the fall races. Currently, #49 J Johnson, #11 D Hamlin and #19 M Truex JR!! share most wins honors with 2 victories each in the spring race.
# 12, #18 and #22 each also have a victory in the spring. Keep an eye on them and some of the newer crop too. Crew chiefs always need to be on their toes for making good strategies here.
My Pocono Picks:
K Harvick <~~~ Top 10 at Charlotte and racing well heading into the Pocono...
M Truex JR!!! <~~~ Fresh off a win and raring to go...
J Logano <~~~ Who will be chasing who down those long straightaways....
D Hamlin <~~~~ A winner here before...so
Kyle Busch <~~~ The man can win anywhere! Plus...was quite impressive making a 3rd place showing in Charlotte...
My spare is Kurt Busch...
