What's up with these National Anthem singers?

Am I the only one who thinks this great song is being destroyed by these singers interpretations?

The best thing with todays whole version was the B-2 flyover and there wasn't enough of that shown.

I'm still so upset about NASCAR taking 25 points away from Jr. (a fine yes, but with the new points/top 10 rules 25 points is disastrous) that I didn't pay much attention to the singers but I do know what you mean. I don't like it when they try to revamp the national anthem. It just doesn't sound right.

Instead of the mute button I just change channel to Sponge Bob.

I always complain that here in NH, we never have a "big name" singer sing the national anthem. Well, after today, I'll be happy to listen to Denise Doucette as long as she wants to sing it.
