Jr. was docked 25 pts. and a $10,000 fine. Just found it on nascar.com.
Here's the link:
Jr. Docked 25 Points
I think everyone knew it was coming, but Nascar is so wishy washy these days there was hope of just a fine.;)
Anyway at least he's only 12 points behind Kurt. That can be made up...but he needs to keep his mouth shut from now on!!!;)

PS...
Just an after thought...DH and I both agree they need a 2 sec. delay on that sort of stuff. Other sporting events do it. Sometimes emotions take over and things happen. Good and bad!;)

WOW ..... I figured a $$$ for sure, but, didn't think he'd get hit with a points penalty ... and what hurts even more is that the DEI team got hit too ..... I'm sure he'll watch his language from here on .... Andy

The only surprise there is that NASCAR was consistent for once ;) Honestly, with there still being plenty of races left, I don't think it'll hurt him that bad.

Basically, I think it's gonna be a three man race for the championship (the others really need the top 3 to all have problems), and I suspect Busch will drop down due to inconsistency. What more could NASCAR ask for... a championship battle between two of their most high profile drivers. Should be interesting to see how it plays out.

I agree with the consistency. There's no way they could have overlooked Jr.'s cursing if they fined Hornaday for the same thing. Its about time they became consistant and didn't treat Jr. different than others.

I don't believe it, consistency for a change.

DH and I argued most of the night over this. I said they HAD to give him the penalty, what is it showing our kids if JR can get away with it. DH said it was stupid, there should be a time delay.

GO 24.

They had to,if they didnt they have to explain to the other teams why.It does suck but hey he knew it before hand, just makes it that more exciting now for the chase.

I really don't think Jr. should be fined and docked points. The networks really need to consider a tape delay if they don't allow drivers a "cooling down" period after an event.

Yep that's my reaction too. Jr will come back from this (although I still say Gordon will win the championship ;)).

That points penalty is bull****! This is a totally different points race than the regular season and a 25 point hit is a major loss. The NASCAR head office is taking a great sport and PC'ing the Hell out of it. Bring back the days of the Alison brothers duking it out with Cale on the backstretch of Daytona and all the beating and banging that came with NASCAR's heyday.

If NASCAR wants their drivers to behave themselves, then don't have the reporters chasing after them as soon as they exit their cars. Give them a chance to celebrate with their teams and collect their composure.

Well, I'm not surprised but I still think it's a stupid thing to make such a big issue out of.

One more reason why NASCAR is probably a decade away from being the next Professional Wrestling. The people that run the sport think they are bigger then the sport and championships are decided in a conference room and not on the field ( or track ) of play.

You'll be docked 25 championship points as well ;)

Okay, just finished docking DukeStreetKing in the game, now the rest of you remember you can't use any of George Carlin's 7 Words you can't say on TV or you too will be docked ;)

(Kidding of course I don't have those kinds of rules in my game - just one rule post before qualifying.)
