Afternoon, everyone!

I hope this is the right place to put this. I'm planning my family's first trip to the World for June 2023, though my last trip to Disney World was 20 years ago. I'm going to include a side trip to NASA while we were down there, just one day, something we'd all look forward to. So my question is: Has anyone done this? What are you thoughts and tips? I've heard if you get there early you can catch a bus trip out to the vehicle assembly building and launch pads. Is this true? Do you have to pay extra for those? Thanks in advance.

Less than a 2 hour drive , Park car in parking lot then walk to Entrance

BUY your ticket Which Includes Bus trip And Imax cinema ( Suggested Times given ) Lots of things to do

For Young & Old

Park opens at about 9 am closes at 6 pm ( ? ? )

I would recommend starting here:

You will also find other threads for KSC with a search of this forum.

Can't believe I didn't look for those other threads first, I always do that. (bangs head on wall) Thanks, I'll look for them.

I guess I deserved that kind of answer.

YMMV, but I recommend the free bus tour, the Saturn V Center (the bus tour ends there), the Space Shuttle Atlantis (particularly the “reveal”), and the shuttle launch simulator.

There are various paid tour options you can see on that website mentioned previously. We were there many years ago but enjoyed the tours. Interest level will depend on the ages of those in your family and how much they are into science/space flight. Some will find it boring if not into that sort of thing.

recommend do the bus tour first thing .... especially if you can get there close to opening. It can develop into a substantial wait but over half what you want to see requires the bus tour . . . I like some of the extra cost optional stuff BUT if it has been 20 years since you've been there is PLENTY to see in the basic admission and included bus tour. You're practically visiting an all new place!

Definitely do the bus tour first. Also, if you are interested in any of the shows, make note of the times. By the time we got to them our day was almost over and they'd stopped showing them.

We were there in June - 4th trip in 40+ years - 1st trip for DGSs - did the bus right away
(ate an early lunch at that building). Skipped IMAX. If you’re an AAA member buy your tickets through them, we saved $12 or more per ticket. I went to AAA in person - paid - agent sent email & I printed out tickets - didn’t have to wait at ticket booth - just got in line to go in & have our tickets scanned.
