Narrowing down resort choices

We are planning our 2017 Thanksgiving Trip:

We have been to Disney 5 times in the last 13 years and have stayed at:
POFQ
Dolphin
Beach Club Studio Villa
Animal Kingdom Studio Villa
Old Key West Villa

This year we are trying to decide between:
Boardwalk Villa
Animal Kingdom Villa
POFQ

The prices aren't all that dissimilar when renting DVC points. We like the location of the Boardwalk, but the other two have their charms as well.
Any input or suggestions? If we are going to attempt to rent points, we need to decide by Dec 18th.

Be sure to be budgeting based on BWV Garden/Pool view, and AKV Standard or Savannah - not Value. BWV Standard and AKV Value are highly challenging to get during DVC high season via rental.

If you spend a lot of time at Epcot/DHS, BWV. If you're a MK family, none of them have particular advantage there; if anything, POFQ works out best.

In order of preference, I would do BWV, AKV, POFQ. They are all good choices, however, so I wouldn't hesitate to book whatever is available.

AKV is our favorite and beautiful at the holidays, so no contest for us, but if you want to try something new, it sounds like BWV is the only one you haven't tried. As PP mentioned, it is a good location for visiting Epcot and HS, and you could check out Christmas decorations at BC and YC.

You will need to decide very soon if you have any hope of getting a BWV Villa for Thanksgiving 2017. You need to have an owner lined up at 11 months in advance, as these book fully quickly at this time of year.

My order of preference would be
BWV
POFQ
AKL Villa

I would go with BWV first. The way I see it, if price is pretty much the same, you need to look at both convenience and theme. For convenience, neither POFQ nor AKV can hold a candle to BWV with the ability to walk to two different parks. It also has a fun theme with various activities at night. So, for me, BWV would be the hands-down favorite.

If not that, I'd probably end up going with AKV. The way I see it, if you can stay at a deluxe or a moderate for the same price, why choose the moderate? Always go deluxe.

We just back from a split stay, AKV Kidani (std studio, renting points) and POR, and we actually liked the room layout better at POR. POFQ is similar. BWV would be nice, if you can get it.

We loved the location of boardwalk. It was so fast to get to the parks and we even walked over several times. I didn't like the long bus waits at akl

I would agree that BWV would be my first choice for a holiday trip, because you can walk to two parks instead of using Disney transportation. Second choice for me personally would be POFQ, but then I don't particularly care for AKL/AKV so that would be near the bottom of my list regardless of whether it's a holiday or not.

I wouldn't consider a moderate if the deluxe DVCs are similar in price. Both Boardwalk & AKL are lovely. Choose between those two based on your location & stylistic preferences.
