Hi,

How are Ellen's Energy Adventure, Living with the Land, and Figment for small kids?

Make time for them or pass them by?

TIA!

Ellen's is long. Unless the kid really likes dinosaurs, she will probably be really bored. However, it's a great place to take a nap, because it's long, the ride cars have really long benches, it's dark, and the AC is great.

If your DD likes plants, then she might like the Land. Our DS rode it at 6 and said it was really boring. We haven't been able to get him to go back.

A 5 year old might like Figment. It's not scary, but it's weird. DS at 9 thought it was weird and boring. However, the interactive stuff at the end looked kind of cool, so we will try it next time. We didn't have time last trip to do that stuff.

I would pick Figment out of all of these for your DD, if you pick any. However, it's good to do every ride at least once. I bet Ellen or Figment is most likely to be replaced of the 3. However, there are no announced plans of them leaving.

Ellen, skip. Long and boring. Like PP said, great spot for a nap. :faint:

LWTL, we love it! Dd has always enjoyed it, she likes finding fruits and vegetables in the greenhouses. That's a must do for us, but I know others find it boring.

Figment, silly and fun! Don't wait in line longer than 10 minutes for it though. Also, my dd finds this ride really loud so she covers her ears. She likes the ride though.

If you have time I'd say do LWTL and Figment.

Of those my 5 year old only liked Figment - she thought the others were boring. I think if gardening is something you do at home Living with the Land might be good but we are very "urban" and the whole thing was kind of over my daughters head.... (don't know what that says about her education to date???)

Last time we went DS was 6 and he loved all 3. Figment was his favorite of those, his dad hated it so DS liked to torment him by making him go on it every time we went to Epcot. Ellen was a favorite Mid afternoon ride, it was cool and fun and relaxing, DH always took the opportunity for a nap he falls asleep easily in a moving vehicle. LWTL DS liked the boat but we probably only did twice, being Australian there were something's we didn't recognize so we found it interesting. Until you go once you will never know if it is a hit for your DD or not. Also DS loved test track, but was petrified of Soarin (go figure).

If your daughter is frightened by loud sounds or thunder and lightning, I would avoid LWTL and EEA (I speak from experience). Of the three, I would say Figment might be the best option.

Dont' forget the ride in mexico, I forget the name but my daughter enjoys that one a lot.

When we took my 2.5 year old last September, Living with the Land was her favorite ride. She talks about it to this day and calls it the "green banana ride." We are VERY sad it will be closed the week we are going down this year. She also liked Figment. I don't know if it was particularly memorable...but she enjoyed it while she was on it. We did not take her on Ellen's Energy Adventure, just because of the shear length of the ride. We may give it a go this time. She LOVES dinosaurs.

Besides Nemo, I think Figment and the Three Caballeros ride, are the best rides for young children at Epcot. My three-year old loved them and he really liked the after ride stuff for Figment.

My almost 5 year old loved
TT
Soarin
Nemo
LWTL
Three Caballeros

We didnt do anything else. At Epcot we spend most time at Sea Base or WS
Big kids loved Sum of all Thrills though

Yep, the Three Cabelleros ride in Mexico is my daughter's all time favorite, very family-friendly boat ride. Also Nemo in Epcot. Don't forget the character spot so she can see the characters!
