I know some restaurants allow adults to order of children's menus for an upcharge. Wondered if anyone on here has done that at Narcoosee's.

Narcoosee's was a favorite of my daughters' when they were younger. Fond memories of the lights, fireworks, etc. And of the kid's pasta.

Thank you for any experiences you can share about.

Never ordered off the children’s menu at this venue but can’t see why Narcoossee‘s wouldn’t allow it, up charge or no.

Anyone can order off the kids menu, and the price is the price. I've only seen "adult portions of kids meals" offered to people on the dining plan.

thank you both. I will leave our reservation for Christmas Eve in place, and give it a try.

I just ordered a kids meal at Narcoossees on Saturday. The waitress tried to get me to order an adult portion of the kids meal but I explained I wanted the smaller portion. And it’s not like we were skimping - between my husband and myself, we got an app, he got the surf and turf, I got the kids meal, we each got a cheesecake, and 3 alcoholic drinks between us. The cheesecake was very important to me and I couldn’t have fit it if I had a larger entree!

Thank you so much for sharing this!! Like you, i would want an appetizer, alcoholic drinks, and smaller entrée so I can save room for dessert. But I would bet my DDs could/would do an adult portion. They will be 18, and still have bottom-less stomachs. So this would work.

They love Narcoossees lit up at night, so was where they wanted to go Christmas Eve - but their memories are from when they were much younger, and part of that love was the Mickey shaped pasta on the kids menu.

Rather than order kids' meals for adults on a holiday (when the manager of the day may not be as lenient b/c holidays are BIG money maker days), why not just share with your 2 DDs and spouse and eat family style, and then there's no uncomfortable conversations or possible weirdness.

We're hoping to get a reservation (two weeks from today!) but no luck. I'm hoping something will open up the day before as I've had luck with that. If that's not the case, how does the standby option work? Any general success stories there?

Last year, there was a system glitch and I lost our reservation for 6 (for us and our friends for Thanksgiving) at Narcoossee’s. I literally stalked MDE every day with no luck. The day before Thanksgiving, we were just getting back to the resort, after the park, and I checked MDE and several reservations for Narcoossee’s popped up, including a party of 6! So hopefully you’ll have some luck with that! Otherwise, if you’re in the vicinity, open up MDE and if available, you can hopefully get on their waitlist! Or - final option, if you’re up to it, you can always eat at the bar without a reservation. (Not sure the size of your party or if you’ll be with kids) but just wanted to offer you that option as well. Good luck! I hope you get a reservation! 🤞🏻
