I don't seem to read much about this place. We are eating there in a few weeks. Any thoughts? thanks

Me too, but all the posts around here have great things to say about it, so I suspect this will turn into another Nacoosee love-fest!

I'll be there for my first visit on Aug 29, and cannot wait!

And I owe it all to the DIS Boards!

We have a reservation in a couple of weeks & I'm kind of curious, too. We're on the dining plan & for the cost of the meal it would be worth it (I think). But I would like to hear more about it from those who have eaten there recently...

DH and I will be dining there for the first time in September for our Anniversary.

I had originally called for and ADR at California Grill for a view of the fireworks, but they were booked. The cast member making the reservation is the one who suggested Narcoossees. He said it was better because it's "tucked away" and "romantic."

I've heard nothing but good things about it, and I was also able to arrange a special Disney Anniversary Cake for Dessert as a surprise for my husband.

I"m very excited, and I will DEFINITELY be posting pics when I return!
:dance3:

I am here for the love fest!!! This is my favorite place! I love the atmosphere, the food and the service.

I enjoyed taking my son out on the deck to view the water pageant and timed our dinner perfectly that right after we were finished, we got up and went out on the dock and viewed MK's fireworks!

Enjoy it really is a lovely place to dine and the food was great!

No one had one complaint, they did however take off one of my fav app's from the menu but I can't have it all!

I did not care for the Yachtsman steakhouse EEEKKK! The meat was sooo fatty it was horrible, no wonder it is always available for a ressie!

DH"s fav is LeCellier followed by DS's favorite Coral Reef.

DH and I absolutely LOVE Narcoossee's!!!! Hands-down our favorite restaurant at WDW! I don't think you will be at all disappointed - in the food or the atmosphere! Enjoy! :thumbsup2

We ate there for the 4th time a few weeks ago. I had the surf and turf, which was very good. The almond crusted cheesecake for dessert was divine!

Ate there in May and it was superb. Asked for a window seat when we arrived and was told wait would be 20 minutes. So sat on the deck with a cocktail and enjoyed the view. People rave about the view from the Californian Grill, but for me this is more varied and interesting. In for Dinner which was first class, and we had timed it to be able to watch the Water Pageant and the Fireworks which made the wait for a window seat more than worthwhile. Highly recommend this restaurant for the food and wonderful service. Put the icing on the cake and time it for the displays and you have one of the best Dining experiences in Disney

Thanks for the responses. We had a table at the California Grill then I cancelled it because it looked like we had to cancel our trip. When I called back it was booked but I am glad to know that Narcoossee's will be just as good. Where can I see some pictures of the inside? I could only find one on All Ears.

We are eating at 6:05 (all we could get). Could we walk around outside and catch the water parade? Maybe walk to the Poly? What would be best? Thanks!!

We are going there for our 1st time this trip too. Going late sept. From what I read here on the boards one thing my wife wanted was a Cinderella slipper desert. It is an extra cost, but looks great!

I believe the water parade is every night. It goes by the Poly at 9 and the GF at 9:15 (other resorts too) but if there are fireworks @ 9:00 the parade is delayed by 7-20 minutes.

Thanks so much for the tip about the Cinderella slipper! Off to look into that.

We're trying this place for the first time in September, cannot wait........

I didn't mean to spoil any thing for anyone. But when we ate at Narcoosee's last Wednesday, our dinners were ruined by the worst waitress ever. Don't get me wrong, the food was absolutely delicious. Some of us ordered the whole steamed lobsters (they were moist and huge!) some had the surf and turf. The scallop entree was my favorite of all. Our waitress, "Diane", was not attentive at all. She dropped off all of our appetizers(11) with her assistant then disappeared again. At this point, our drinks were not out yet. She didn't even offer any water for us to drink. CALLING DIANE, do you copy that? Narcoosee's was supposed to be a signature restaurant. If we were charged with the 18% automatic tip(6pp+), I would discount the gratuity for her.....
Yes to Narcoosee's, but a big NO for Diane.

we can't say enough good things about this place!! we love it here!!

the service has always been great (sorry about the above poster with "diane" - bad waitress!) - love the view, the ambience - the food is excellent: crab cakes, scallops, lobster - and the almond crusted cheesecake for dessert!!! OMG!!! wish they'd ship them to new jersey on ice!!!!

We've been twice, had really enjoyable evenings both times. Good food, wine, service, atmosphere and view. Looking forward to going again someday. FWIW.

It is my favorite WDW restaurant! Love the atmosphere and view. We have always had great service - not snobbish. As others have said the almond crusted cheesecake is to die for. Highly recommend.

When we were there last year they were booked for the balance of the week. In speaking with the waitress I told her this was our fave and our compliments to the chef. Well upon leaving she brought out the head chef and it turns out he is from a town about 30 minutes from ours. Anyway, he gave us a private number and said tell the person who answers at the restaurant that he sent us and they would get us in. Well they did.

ON a budget I would rather do two days of counter service meals to get 1 meal at Narcoosees.

Can't wait for our next trip.

This is one of our absolute favorite restaurants in all of Walt Disney World. We have always had exceptional service and food. You can't go wrong with Narcoossee's.

Another love fest here as well. It's never a bad thing when all you hear is good stuff right?

Let's see, when I ate there last year, I got the Hearts of Romaine salad and I'd honestly say that it's one of the best salads I have ever had. It was a very simple salad but very good.

For the main course I had the Grilled Filet Mignon. It was cooked exactly how I asked for it to be- which is always a plus because medium seems to be more like well done to some restaurants. The green peppercorn stuff on top was a great addition to the steak. It was the second best steak I had on the property last year. Only behind the one I had at the Concourse Steakhouse- RIP 2007, lol.

Here was the topper- the Almond crusted cheesecake. I am not even remotely a nut fan but someone at the next table had it and I wanted it as it was very beautiful and looked delicious. Words could not express how good it was.

If that helps anyone, that good :thumbsup2 if not, oh well... I tried.
