Was wondering if it was really worth it? I know alot of the perks are great but we both are looking at ordering $65+ pp main dishes so pretty much it will be $100 per person without tip in the end...granted this is a fine rest, I am just wondering if it was worth it...
Thanks Dis Peeps!

It's as worth it as any other WDW Signature restaurant. They are all priced the same and I think the food is generally pretty good.

But if price is THAT much of a concern-----

I think it's worth it. At least paying OOP you can split entrees and you don't have to worry about trying to get the most out of the dining plan.

My mom and I did OOP there this past November, and we feel it was totally worth it. The food was amazing, the service great, and the view and atmosphere was beautiful.

I would love to go back here on my next trip....:thumbsup2

I agree with the above posts. The food, atmosphere and view are wonderful. I think it is well worth it. The crab crusted mahi-mahi is delicious! Have a great trip!

We have also had great meals at Narcoossee's - perfectly prepared lobster and steaks. And my favorite dessert - Almond Crusted Cheesecake. The service has always been excellent. From either the table or the deck outside we've watched the MK fireworks and the Electric Water Pageant.

Narcoossee's is probably my favorite WDW restaurant.

It IS expensive, but, no more so than any signature restaurant. I think it's as good or better than any other sig restaurant.

Point is, if you ARE choosing to eat at a signature restaurant, this place will be more "worth it", than others, IMHO.

I agree with the PPs, that Narcoossee's is "worth it" to me. The food has always been excellent and the service is amazing, and as a PP said, it has a good view of Wishes and the Electric Water Pageant. So, overall, yes, it's a pricey meal, but depending on what you order it's not far out of line with other Signature at WDW.

Now, if you're going to spend the whole meal thinking about the cost, then perhaps it's not a good choice. I would think it's hard to really enjoy yourself if you keep thinking..."I'm spending $100 per person for this meal..."

Just to note, the entrees range in price from $32 to $67 (pre-tax). So it is possible to have a meal that isn't going to cost $100 per person.

I'm in Kentucky, which surprisingly, is not known for it's lobsters. I think it's worth it. I get a great meal that I cannot get here.

Surf & turf is awesome!! We've been a few times and have only ordered this! We went for my b-day dinner last year. It was fabulous :)

I cannot wait to eat there, have never been. All reports make it sound well worth it!

I understand the "If price is that much of a concern" that wasn't the real issue...maybe I didn't explain myself enough for you...

Thank you so much to all the other posters who hit the nail on the head...I feel much better now and my friend is going to be over the moon that ya'll convinced me!

Thanks again!

Since I am the friend going with her I thank you all for your replies. I'm actually interested in seeing if any of you have visited since the new chef has been there? Either way, the menu is right up my alley :thumbsup2

Not sure when the new chef arrived, but we ate dinner there on 6/5/12 for my birthday. Food and service was awesome. I decided that night, we will be having many more signature dining experiences at WDW. Poor DD may have had her last character meal. Mama wants to go to Narcooses. :)

Only half way kidding. Narcoose's is now my daughter's favorite restaurant as well. Of course she wants filet and lobster. Note to others -- don't give your children filet and lobster. They will never want chicken nuggets again and your bank account will never recover.

We are going in January and we've never eaten at a signature restaurant, except Le Cellier. For his trip I couldn't decide which to try Jiko's, Citrico's, Flying Fish, V&A, or the Yachtsman. After looking over the menus I made a reservation for Narcoose's and this thread made me glad I did!!

Thanks!

We went to Narcoosee's for our wedding anniversary, paid oop and made arrangements in advance. The service was pathetic and food was just average. Never again for that price.
