Narcoossee's just called to confirm 12/25 ADR

DH and I have never traveled to WDW during the high season (crazy us, we'll be there for a soccer tournament, but staying from 12/25-12/31) - is it common for restaurants to call a guest to confirm their ADR? The person I spoke to said they had received a few cancellations recently for Christmas night, and wanted to see what they should expect for 12/25 in terms of those coming, and those cancelling. Our ADR was made before the CCd guarantee.

I told her YES, it's our favorite restaurant, we will be there with bells on. I can't wait!

Is this common? Should we expect other calls for other restaurants?
