Narcoossee recommendations

Would love some recommendations for Narcoossee. It’s been a few years since I went and want to hear what others liked recently that I should try.

Also our reservation is for 6pm and fireworks are at 8pm. Is that enough time to get an appetizer and main course then walk over to Poly to watch on the beach?

Had the surf and turf last time with the filet and lobster. We enjoyed the Calamari and the Almond Crusted Cheesecake was good.

I’m pretty sure they do. They pipe the music in outside of Gasparilla Grill which is the QS restaurant.

I'm pretty sure they pipe in the music at both the boat launch near Narcoossee's and the marina near Gasparilla.

But you are about a 15 minute walk to Poly if you prefer the beach for some reason.

They also have a full deck you can walk out on to watch the fireworks. The only time that’s inconvenient is if you have a window seat and everyone outside is standing in front of you! But if not, you have a great view from right at your table in the restaurant!! My go-to is filet with roasted potatoes and a glass (or two) of moscato, which is so delicious there! Follow that up with a pot of French Press coffee! Enjoy!

Filet mignon is very good there. My kids really like the mashed potatoes, too. The cheesecake is the dessert they always choose, as well. We haven’t had a bad meal there. It’s been our “closer” restaurant the past 4-5 trips. And I saw the fireworks discussion, yes, they pipe in the music both in the restaurant and on the deck I think. View is good and afterwords is the lighted boat parade thing that goes in front of the restaurant. It makes for an enjoyable evening.

I suggest you NOT get the Shrimp Scampi - I got it last time and it was disgusting. The pasta seriously tasted like big globs of glue.

That’s good to know! I was looking at that item since it’s usually a favorite of mine. I will steer clear of it this time.

Although I don't know if you can get the cheesecake to go, but the last time I ordered it, it was definitely shareable. I love sweets, but it was too much for me. This was pre-pandemic, however.

Yes they do. The deck is only accessible to people with reservations. Excellent view, much better than the beach in my opinion.

Oh that’s good! The fireworks are at 8 and our reservation is at 6, if we finish a little bit before the fireworks are we still allowed outside?
