Narcoosee's, 8:40pm, MK closes at 11pm. Wishes question

Did I manage to get a good ADR?

I've gone from the Brown Derby, to Kouzzina's to Narcoosee's. LOL Don't worry, I've cancelled the ones I don't want already.


If my ADRs are for 8:40, does that mean if we get a decent seat, we might be able to view Wishes that night from Narcoosee's? I decided to get a signature and drop a breakfast TS. Well, I haven't cancelled that ADR, b/c I may just pay OOP. Or is 8:40 too early for a Wishes viewing, unless we eat very slow?

They also have a 9:00 available.

How long does a typical meal last there? I'm assuming Wishes will be at 10:30, but it's not listed on the calendar for Disney. Boo!

Frankly, I like the view from the boat dock better. It's close to the restaurant. There are benches there if you get there early enough. It will be cooler outside, but it's actually a slighly better view than inside the restaurant.

Also, every seat in Narcossee is not a good view for the fireworks.

There's a 9:20 and a 9:50. Should I go with the 9:00 and if we get a good seat, we'll eat slowly, and if we don't... we can head outside? I know that we're allowed to walk out and come back.

I would take the 9pm and be prepared to wait for a table. If you wish to view the fireworks from inside, let them know when you check in and let them know you are willing to wait for a table, if necessary.

That being said, just because you are by a window does NOT mean you are guaranteed to see the fireworks. Many people will walk out of the restaurant as well as some guests of the resort may wander onto the deck. There are only a few benches so people may stand in front of the railing, blocking your view.

Just so you know, you can step outside during your meal to watch wishes & then go back to your seat. You don't have to worry about which table you are at. Plus, you can view wishes from the dock for a great view too, so you can eat earlier.

First of all, let me say that we loved Narcoossee's - once we actually got a table. We went last March. I made an ADR for 7:25 pm (Wishes was scheduled for 8:00 pm). The cast member that made my ADR for me said this would be the PERFECT time for us to catch Wished from inside the restaurant. Well we got there at 7:10 pm to check in and they told us they'd call when our table was ready. Well 10, 20 30, 40, 50 minutes later no table and Wishes was about to start. When we inquired (multiple times) as to what the hold up was they said that people with ADRS as early as 5:30 were just not leaving - they were staying to watch Wishes. So needless to say no table before Wishes - we ended up watching from the boardwalk that surrounds the restaurant where you can still see the show and they pipe in the music. Some passive-aggressive guests that were also upset that they were waiting forever for a table stood in front of the windows so that the guests inside could not see (don't worry no one from my party - cause no matter how upset we were that would just not be in the Disney spirit). Any way finally a good hour after our ADR we were finally seated, had a great meal and we were actually able to see the Electrical Water Pageant from our seats. I just don't get why if this is a nightly phenomenon as the cast members suggested they don't change their ADR availability a bit. Oh well. The food and atmosphere were fantastic. Hope things work out for you.
