Narcoosee’s Reopening April 1

I was able to get reservations for my trip end of May.

Hard to tell but looks like the bar seating is still there. Earlier rumors were that it was being removed.

Yes, I think it looks like it’s there too. Just hoping it’ll be available as a walk up! We fancy an appetiser and a cocktail one night.

I loved the idea of the charcuterie board, until I read the description. Ahi tuna is one of our favorite foods, but we don't want it to taste like pastrami. That sounds nasty, to me. The rest of the dish sounds good.

Agree! A walk-up bar dinner at Narcoosee's is something I do almost every trip. My daughter is a CM at GF RPC. I'll ask her to find out if Narcoosee's is still doing walk-up bar dining.

We ate at Narcoossee’s today. There were only 2 of us, but we were seated at a 4 top. Actually I saw very few tables for 2. We weren’t against the windows, but in 2nd row, I had a perfect view of the castle. DH had the tortelloni & strip steak.



I had the blueberry & feta salad (feta on the side) & the scallops & gnocchi. Everything was absolutely delicious.




Sorry, not the best pictures. I asked the server if they will let you order just the fillet instead of the full surf & turf. He said you absolutely can do that. He said they’ll pretty much let you order the fillet & lobster tail anyway you want them.. 1 of each, 1 of either, 2 lobster tails or 2 fillets. Sorry, I didn’t ask how much just the fillet would be tho.

Thanks for posting! Those scallops love amazing! I'm not sure what I'm going to get....and good news about the filet. I know folks have been asking about that!

No, we didn’t get dessert. We both had blood work within the last month & have to work on lowering our cholesterol & triglycerides. But mostly we were just too full.

I can’t wait! I deliberately chose this to be my last dinner for this go round....

My husband, adult son, and I went on opening night. It was lovely. A bit slow, but they have to get in their groove.

Here were our meals.

We had two apps
The buttermilk fried Calamari

It was really good. The veggie mix was delicious.

Then we had the Ocean Inspired Charcuterie Board - Ahi Tuna Pastrami, Charred Octopus, Lobster Sausage

I tried the lobster sausage because it sounded really weird for a lobster to be made into a sausage. It was weird, but tasty at the same time. The other two things I left for my husband and son - I knew they would appreciate them more. There was 3 pieces of each item.

For main courses my son and I both had the Gulf Shrimp Bucatini

It was good. I thought the pasta was a bit chewy, but husband thought it was perfect. I think it's just personal preference. Lots of shrimp, maybe slightly over done. The flavours were very nice. I was happy with it.

My husband had the Plancha Seared Scallops and Parisian Gnocchi.

He enjoyed it very much. I had a scallop and it was great.

We had 2 sides.
The Wild Mushroom Risotto

It was very tasty.

We also had the Loaded Mashed Potatoes. It had Garlic-glazed Pork Belly, Smoked Cheddar, Crème Fraîche.

It was good. I like the pork belly much better at Flying Fish, but this was fine.

Desserts

I went for one of my favourite desserts ever - the Almond Crusted Cheesecake.

It didn't disappoint and tasted exactly how i remembered.

My husband had the Berry Pavlova.

It was okay. It was kinda meh and I forgot about it until i looked at the pictures.

My son had the Pineapple Bavarois.

This was the true winner of the night. It was so pretty and delicious.

Sorry if some of the pictures were blurry. My husband and son didn't understand the need to reach over their body for me to take a picture of their food. lol

nah, just fooling myself. If there had been something chocolate & gooey on the menu, I might not have been able to resist. Like the yummy chocolate cake on the menu at Yachtsman’s.

It happens that Narcoosee’s has two desserts I love, bavarois and especially pavlova..yum! But, I also ordered a Mickey Mouse celebration cake when I made my ADR, so I’ll have the best of both worlds, lol
