My oldest will eat anything & actually has very good taste in food. My youngest however is against anything green & anything that doesn't have cheese.

DH & I would love the menu at NR....but do they offer coloring for squirmy kids? Are the servers kid friendly & helpful?

;) Napa Rose had our favorite kids menu of any restaurant in/around the park (with maybe the exception of Storytellers) - it was a nice change from the endless parade of Mickey nuggets and day-glo mac and cheese most other restaurants seem to offer. My 4 year old son enjoyed a lovely chicken breast with mashed potatoes - real food!!!!!

I don't recall being offered anything like crayons, but they are very accommodating to children and you're welcome to bring your own "distraction items" - some people bring portable DVD players (low volume!), or coloring books and crayons of their own. The servers we've had have been wonderful!

Here's a link to the kids menu at Napa Rose:

My son had the free range chicken breast with lemon whipped potatoes and petit green beans - it was delicious and he ate almost all of it! Your son might like the penne with cheese sauce....it's miles ahead of Kraft dinner, and not a green thing in sight! I don't know about you, but I loved getting my son a proper (ie: not fast food) meal once in a while during the vacation. :thumbsup2

My son also really enjoyed the Balboa beach dessert - I kinda' wished it was on the adult menu!! ;)

Thank you for your answer!!!

I DO want real meals for my kids - just bc it's DL doesn't mean you can eat processed goo all weekend!! ;)

So this is good to hear. I usually carry colors & activities but it's nice to know if a restaurant carries them, it tips you off to their atmosphere.

Thanks!

We went to Napa Rose with my 3yr old daughter who is generally very well behaved and is a good eater (although crayons and paper help a lot while we're waiting). The day we went, she had to poop and cannot poop in automatic potties cause they scare her. Which means every time she felt the urge I had to usher her to the bathroom only to have her tell me she cannot go. After 4 trips to the potty and her antsy cannot sit still mood I finally left with her leaving my fiance in the middle of our main course. The staff never once made me feel like I should leave with her, I left on my own because I felt that we shouldn't negatively impact other diners. They were very undertsanding and rushed to get my main course packed (he finished his in record time) and my DD's meal packed as well as my dessert and they even poured my dessert wine and let him take it with him. The staff there is WONDERFUL. For the 3 of us, our bill was about $260 (including tip, I believe) but then again I did order the fixed four course meal with wine pairing which itself was $125. So it was disappointing to have to leave but its also a place we're not likely to dine at again.

MKKplus2! We have suffered that same fate all throughout DL and finally I read here about using stickers to cover the sensor. Put it on as soon as you go in the stall and toilet will not flush until you remove the sticker. Worked like a charm and saved us all kinds of torture because my dd would not even pee because the toilets were always automatically flushing on her. Even now, I never go anywhere without good sized stickers tucked into my purse especially airports. We used to carry a list of all the non automatic potties in DL and try to hit those when in the area but so many were replaced/changed we lost track.

Oh, in a pinch, you can simply hold your hand flat over the sensor, awkward and difficult to help dd with one hand stuck to the wall. If you use the stickers, don't forget to remove it when finished!
