Napa Rose help!

I wanted to do Napa Rose for my 30th birthday and was interested in the chef counter. I have a friend coming who is not bringing tons of money and would rather order off the regular menu? Is this possible sitting at the chef counter. I am interested in doing the tasting and is something I REALLY want to do.

It used to be possible, but there have been reports of a change in policy. I haven't checked this out myself, but other boards have reported that it is now only possible to order the tasting menu or the chef's menu at the counter. This means the minimum charge would be about $100 per person. You can order the tasting menu (the vintner's menu) at a regular table. That way your friend could order off the regular menu. And there are many tables in the main dining room with good views of the kitchen.

We did it in November and we were given the option to
Order off the menu or have it Taylor made to or likes etc all
Of us chose the Taylor
Made menu

Cost was the same as the vinters menu

Yeah, in December we were at the chef's counter and they initially brought us regular menus until we told them we wanted the tasting. Maybe the policy has changed since then. I think you should ask when you call to book, to be safe.

Yes, the reported policy change happened earlier this year. So ordering off the regular menu would have been fine last year.
