On the day we arrive, I am not sure what time we will be checking into the Disneyland Hotel. But we had hoped to grab a drink and maybe an appetizer at the Napa Rose bar that night. Then I noticed that the lounge has was closed as of December '22. We are huge foodies, but have such a short trip planned, we really don't want to take the time to have a full meal in Napa Rose. Although if we don't get Oogie Boogie tickets that may change our plans.

Does anyone know the status of the Napa Rose Bar?

The bar is very small. It only has 8-10 seats. Its first come, first served. People often show up at 5 and sit there and have a full 2 hour meal. It's VERY hard to get a seat at the bar. The lounge area no longer exists. It's just regular tables for dinner service now. Your best bet is to be at NR at 4:30, and wait until it opens so you can get a seat at the bar. After it's full, they won't let you line up or wait, they will tell you "check back later" and will only seat your party if there are empty seats together.

Bar seating is first come first serve...there are still actually some longe seats in the back towards the bar and there is also the little know outdoor fire pit area back behind the bar but a majority of the area that was lounge is not regular table seating.

There are also high boy tables between the bar and lounge area that are first come first serve as well. We stopped in the bar for some drinks and while chatting up with the bartender he asked if we were dining at the restaurant..." I wish, could not get a dinner reservation"...he then set our party up at one of the highboys that was open and we got full dinner service!...so there are still options if you know.

When was this? We were there last Friday and there most definitely were NOT any tables (high top or otherwise) at the bar. There were bar stools at the bar, and regular tables where people were seated having full meals.

We've gone both with and without reservations. When we have reservations, we are seated in the main dining area (to the left behind the hostess). When we have arrived without reservations, we are seated at the tables to the right, around the bar area. We've seen people wait for their table at the bar, but we've also seen many people order and eat their meal at the bar.

Hubby and I have apps & drinks at the Napa Rose bar on a frequent basis. We find that after 7 it’s pretty easy to get seats and the bartenders help us get situated, after we let the host stand know we’d like to sit at the bar.

I miss the cushy seats near the fireplace! That was always our favorite place for a glass of wine post-park.
