Hi everyone! I was just wondering what you all think of Nancy Grace. I think she is an extremely intelligent woman and a fierce victim's advocate, as well. But sometimes. . .boy, can she be rude to her guests! Your opinions??

Can't stand her-too much of a know it all.

I'm surprised they fit her big head on the TV screen.

They had an actress imitate her on last weeks Law and Order Criminal Intent (episode "In the wee small hours") She was a Nancy Grace lookalike and they made her very agressive, to the point when one of the victims was found, she jumped out of the car and yelled "hair and makeup!!" It really wasn't a very flattering image of Nancy Grace.

A little bit of her goes a long way! If she is part of a panel on say, Larry King Live, I can stomach her, but I would never watch her show on Court TV or anything. A whole hour of just her would be too much for my ears! :earseek:

I really liked her at first, because I wish I could speak up for my convictions as forcefully as she can! But lately, she seems to be getting even more obnoxious so I don't know.

I find her very irritating.
Couldn't agree with you more............there is also a woman on CNBC that I can't stand either I think her name is Cathy Crosby?? Her voice is so irratating although she seems to be a good reporter, it's just her voice! What good is a good reporter with an irrating voice :confused3

I really enjoy Nancy Grace....i'm a fan of hers.

Honestly, a lot of what she does seems to be kind of an act for the television. If she was just a boring newscaster asking the same boring questions no one would take any interest in her. She does get into arguements with her panel sometimes, but what interviewer doesn't every now and then? And no one interrupts their guests more than Larry King.

I watched her every day during the early days of the Holloway case, and thought she did a nice job with the coverage.

She's been through a lot (personally with the murder of her fiance). If I recall, she became a DA in Georgia and never lost a case.

Even if she is over the top sometimes I like her show format and find her to be a good interviewer.

I think her first name is Rita..and her voice goes right through me, I have to change the channel as soon as she comes on.

Nancy Grace can get on her high horse and then she gets on my nerves big time...other times I think she is doing a good job.

Oh she drives me nuts. I will never forget watching her during the Jennifer Wilbanks/Runaway Bride story and I just remember her on the first night of her disappearance "This is NOT a case of cold feet"!! Over and over again. So now anytime my DH and I are flipping throught he channels and she is on we always have to comment on that. :rotfl:

It's Rita Cosby on MSNBC, and you're right - her voice is much more irritating than anyone else's on TV, except perhaps Nancy Grace. A friend of mine and I amuse ourselves by answering the phone in a Rita Cosby voice when we see each other's names on Caller ID - "Hello, this is Rita Cosby" in that deep voice of hers. It cracks us up - we are easily amused.

On the other hand, gay or not, Anderson Cooper can talk to me all night long....

I often wonder why, when is a man is an outspoken advocate type person everyone says he's strong, assertive...all these positives.

When a woman is the same way, she's annoying, aggressive, a b****.

Kind of an interesting double standard, don't you think?

Let's look at another victim's advocate...John Walsh. He's as outspoken as Nancy Grace, maybe more so sometimes. I have heard him interviewed and he minces no words. Yet, everyone loves the guy.

I love her, actually. She can be grating at times, as all investigative reporters can be since its their line of work, but overall I see her as a strong-minded individual who is also very warm and compassionate. At times I think she gets too emotionally involved with the crimes she discusses, but it's hard not to give her a pass on that because of her own personal experience with crime and loss of a loved one.

I used to like her but now I find her annoying. Half the time she asks someone a question she just ignores the answer and puts words in their mouth.

Personally, I like Nancy Grace. My family thinks she is annoying, but me being a Criminal Justice major in college and now a Crime Scene Investigator with the County, she is right up my alley. She was supposed to speak at the Medical Examiner's Conference that I attended back in September, but she had to cancel last minute. I was very upset.

I'll tell you who is a disappointment-- Dayle Hinman. She has her own show on CourtTV (Body of Evidence). She is a former Criminal Profiler. I had such high expectations of meeting her at the conference. I introduced myself and it started.... she talked, not TO, but AT me for a good thirty minutes. She talked about all SHE had done ad all SHE had gotten to see. She would have been much happier if I had held a mirror and let her talk to that. She was a complete disappointment because she is such a smart woman, but way too high on her horse, in my opinion. :rolleyes2

I agree with you. It is very difficult to be in that field of work and separate yourself from the cases/victims/etc. I know first hand. I think she can be annoying, but I look past it because I know where she is coming from.

I don't like her. Too rah-rah prosecution for me. I don't like Dan Abrams either or any of the legal analysts that believe someone is guilty until proven innocent.

I like Nancy Grace, but Rita Crosby...how did she get a job in broadcasting with that horrendous voice?
