On VMK It isn't possible (with very, very, very few rare exceptions) to have your VMK character name changed. You can however, make a new character, pick a new name and trade everything but your rooms and a few specific items to the new character. Most good friends could be convinced to make your new character their friend you could leave the others behind. Kind of like a modified witness relocation program. Day 1 badges and Community leader status would not be transferable.
