I spent LOADS of time at the beach this week, and forgot my Lypsy. My lips are swollen icky :scared: , and boy do they hurt. For 2 days I have been applying my Lypsyl (day and night)..and it is not working..

I wonder which brand has the most healing in it..

On the flip side, I am sprouting some Angelina lips

Burt's Bees, is my absolute favorite. A little menthol for healing.

Ok Great..Burt's it is. I actually saw it at the check out the other night at the drugstore. We are far behind in products, but I know we just started getting this in our area..

Thanks guys..I will buy it on my way home at 5 :)

Not a stick, but when my lips need HEALING, I swear by the Blistex in the tube. Soooo soothing.

Hope you feel better soon! :)

I have the medicated Blistex in my desk here. It HURTS soooo much, as my lips are cracked, and have a few blisters..:scared: I am being a baby, but every time I smile, it hurts more...Why did I forget to protect my lips :confused3

Thanks for the well wishes.:goodvibes

Ouch, poor you!

Do you have any cooling moisturising cream or lotion you could put on your lips for now?

Yes, it is just taking long to heal. I guess this is a lesson to learn. I usually don't go anywhere without my chapstick, but this was a sporadic day trip, and I guess with trying to get it all organized I simply forgot it, and boy I will NEVER again...

Agreed on the burt's bees. Another one I loved, but don't know if it's available anymore is Blistex pro. It was in this slim blue tube.

I use plain old chapstick once or twice a year, usually in the winter. But other than that I find no need for any of that stuff.

Avon's Moisture Therapy......love it! Also Bag Balm (in a 3X3 green tin)...hard to find, but the tin lasts FOREVER!!!

I'm a fan of My Lip Stuff (available at mylipstuff.com); however, it doesn't have any sunscreen in it, if that's a concern for you.

Another vote for Burt's Bees, made right down the road from me in Durham, NC.

There may be one with sunscreen but, the kind I buy doesn't have it. That's great for me because I'm allergic to the sunscreen in lip balms. And despiste being a red-head, my lips have never been sunburned anyway.

I use True Blue Spa SPF 45 Chap stick(sold at Bath and Body Works) to prevent your plight, but when I just don't reapply enough ,or forget all together, and I end up with super chapped lips I use Carmex(you can find it at any drug store). I've also used Burt's Bees, like many have mentioned, and it works pretty well.

It never seemed to be a problem, but it is now for sure. Funny thing is I am VERY dark skinned..Oh well. Thanks.

I use A&D ointment. Has never failed to cure dry lips.:thumbsup2

Esp at night. Slap it on, go to bed wake up cured.
