Not exactly a nice sunny day yesterday but still...I am happy with the pictures I took!

Hey I have very similar photos! Drove over here twice when we were vacationing at Island Pond in Hampstead....

Thats one of the one's I want to get up to and photograph. Maybe I'll take one of my day's off in Sept or Oct and drive up. I also want to hit Portland Head Light. Nubble is an easier drive since its only in York.

Yes it is an easy ride...I have not been up to the Portland Head Light.

BTW...I believe you know my sister...I know she is not on here too much right now with business booming...she is Wishes2you....Barbara...down in Wareham.

Yep I have met her. I grew up in Onset. The place they run in Wareham was a shoe store when I was growing up. Got MANY MANY pairs of sneakers and boots in the place.

AndrewWG knows her better. He goes in their shop for supplies. He introduced me to her at a Gatemen game last summer.

You all will love Portland Head. If you go there are 3 others in the area. Two in Portland that are only several blocks apart and the Cape Elizabeth Light. Also at Portland Head if you look out at the water there is a lighthouse visible. I toured Maine and Mass last year for some of the lighthouses. There definitely is something about a lighthouse.

I grew up on the water on Cape Cod. I've seen tons of lighthouses and have a few pictures, but none to recent with my current setup. I have an outing planned with a buddy to head down to Woods Hole and photograph Nobska Light.

For what I do have:

Ten Pound Island Light in Gloucester Harbor (I origianlly thought this was Eastern Point Light, but that one is a few hundred yards away):

Chatham Light on Cape Cod. Took this in '03 with my Canon Powershot S30 PnS:

Gibbs Hill Lighthouse, Bermuda:

I have a few others from around Cape Cod, but they were taken on film and I don't have them scanned. I also have one of Boston Light that I got on film when we went out on a buddies sail boat a few years back.
