Name of a taxi company

Hi. Are there any taxi's that frequent the resorts? I assume any cab would work?? Would the concierge at my resort (CBR) have contact information to arrange some pickups? Also, one last question, if I arrange a taxi from CBR, would it be able to pick me up right near my room location at the resort or do i need to meet it at the main desk / building?

Mears is the cab company. (407) 839-1555. CBR does not have a concierge, they do, however, have guest services. They can probably help you. I cannot answer you last question, sorry.

Actually, the direct number for taxi dispatch is 407-422-2222.

Check with the concierge desk at Custom House (front desk) or Old Port Royale (food & shopping location.) There are usually cabs waiting most of the day; I think they hang out at Old Port Royale at CBR. I don't know whether they will pick up at your room.

Thanks Joe, funny, I see a ton of those cabs everyday and have never noted their phone number and it is soooooooooooooo easy.

When did they put in a concierge desk? It has been a LONG time since I have been there (I went when it first opened). You learn something new each day.

They changed the name of Guest Services at all resorts to Concierge Desk. It happened years ago. I just checked the map of CBR on the Hub to see where they're located.

I'm not sure why the change. Maybe it's because the resorts can't do everything the parks' GS can, so now when they say "any GS location" they don't need to qualify it. Maybe they just thought "Concierge" sounds more hoity-toity.

Yep, hoity-toity, LOL. Thanks for the info. The last time I stayed anywhere but OKW was back in 1991 (except for a very brief stay at Vero).
