Name change question

Hi,

I will be marrying my Prince in Disney in 26 days! I was wondering if someone can help me with changing my last name to his. Where do I start? What do I need to bring?

I started the process by taking our marriage license to the DMV, and getting a new drivers license. The same day I went up to the social security office and got a new SS card. Once I had my new photo ID, I (and after much procrastination) took it to the bank and changed my name there and opened a joint account with my DH. My Credit cards were the easiest to change, I just called them, told them I had gotten married and gave them my new last name and they sent me a new card. The hardest thing to change was actually my frequent flyer accounts. I had to fax the airlines copies of my new driver's license and the marriage license. Everything else has been pretty easy.

You can contact you local passport office or go online and download the application to change your name on your passport. Once you fill out the app, you mail the app and your passport to where ever your passport issuer is, and they make an ammendment in the back of the book and mail it back to you. It is free and takes about 4-6 weeks.
