Hi - we are sailing on the 2/5/2005 and are arriving on the 1st. My daughters and myself would like to have our nails done the day before the cruise. Does anyone know if there is a nail salon close to the port. We are staying at the ocean front Holiday Inn. I'm worried that if we have them done at home they will get messed up before we sail (my daughters are 13). Nothing fancy just something like a Turbo nails. Thank you in advance!

My DD's and I have had our nails done many times on board the ships. They do a wonderful job. We used the teen package for the girls at the spa and I did a regular manicure and pedicure for myself. So relaxing, while at sea and enjoying the gorgeous view, to be pampered like that.

Hi Brenda,
Even tho they have a number of nail salons here in Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach, I always stand behing Hollywood Nails located in the Publix (south) shopping center which isn't too far from the Holiday Inn - Chris and his wife Cindy own the shop and know them not only to be multi-talanted, but very reasonable - been going to them for years - now I have tried the others, but always keep going back to Chris and Cindy - their address is 2015 North Atlantic Avenue (which is A1A) phone number is 321-799-0844 - ask for chris and tell him I sent you - he will give you a discount and NO there isn't anything in it for me - I just like working with locals whom are so trustworthy and tanlented.
anyhow hope that helps.
always

Thanks Carol & Shirley! I really appreciate such quick replys :)
I had my nails done on the ship last time and I was not as lucky as Carol - It was the worst manicure ever - only lasted a few hours before it was chipping off. The worst part was that the girl who did my nails seemed more concerned about selling me this lotion than doing my nails. I think I will take Shirley's advice and have it done the day before. We shop at that Publix every year before the cruise so I know right where it is!

On a side note - after my manicure last year I went to the spa for a make-up class with a friend. It was the same girl who had done my bad manicure that was teaching the class. We were so disapointed - once again the whole class was only about selling this brown powdered make-up. If I want to go to a sales presentation I would go look at time shares :)

Thanks again everyone!!

Brenda
