I have Naan bread. It looks great. I want to incorporate it into dinner, but my creative brain cells must be sleeping. The kitchen is stocked okay, but not great.

I do not have Mozzarella so Naan pizza that includes it is out. I also have never made curry nor have curry spice in my house.

I have different veggies, spices, hamburger, chicken, turkey sausage, chicken sausage, different tomato sauces, quite a few different cheeses, etc. Also what I consider normal household staples.

What would you make for dinner to incorporate the Naan?? Thanks!:worship:

We have just grilled it as a side with whatever we are eating that night. We particularly like it with chicken tikka masala, but you'd need curry for that.

Our kids love garlic naan though, so sometimes we just buy it and grill it and serve it with pasta or whatever we happen to be eating that night.

This may not help you (unless you go to the grocery store or modify the recipes) but when I make naan I also cook indian style rice with cashews and raisins and chicken tikka masala (recipes from allrecipes.com). It is delicious!!

We like naan with hummus or baba ganoush dip. I also make a really easy Moroccan chicken recipe- sometimes we serve with cous cous, other times with lots of warm naan to sop up all the sauce.

We take a chopped onion and slow cook the onion until brown and sweet..carmalized...then take the onion, fresh tomato, and any sort of topping and place on the grill. Lightly brush olive oil on each side and then let the grill do the rest.....If you have any other cheeses they work great to...or fine without...we make two as my kids dont like tomatos but love the carmalized oinions and whatever topping they want...

We like Na'an with hummus. I've also used it for pizza, you don't have to use mozzarella cheese, just use whatever you have at home, it works fine for us. We also like to brush it with olive oil and add some chopped garlic and eat it as garlic bread with pasta.

Thanks for all the idea's. I am going to google the chicken recipe and see if I can do something similar.

I have hummus and some veggies. I think I will make one with just some hummus and chopped fresh uncooked veggies on it.

I have basmati rice in the house also, so that could work.

Lastly, the onions, tomatoes sound really wonderful. I may do that also.

I have 4 medium size Naan here. So I could easily work this as a try a little of each. I am a bit afraid the chicken will be too much as I am sure that DH and DS will want dinner by 6ish with school starting and working/getting up early.

Thanks and I will keep reading until I actually get up to make dinner.

A few weeks ago I made open faced cucumber sandwiches with naan. They were delicious but I suppose you're needing something more substantial than tea sandwiches. LOL

We do something similar -- DH was in Afghanistan for a year and loves Qabili Palau (raisins and carrots in seasoned rice).

For dessert you can grill the Naan, spread nutella over it and sprinkle some walnuts on it. SOOOOOOOO good - dessert pizza!

BUTTER CHICKEN!!

yummy and you heat the naan and dip away!

I used Tiki masala spice in this one instead of the corriander powder he talks about because that's what I had and it was still yummy

I went and chopped up some fresh zucchini, sliced onions and tomatoes, and pulled out the basmati rice (it's cooked from Sunday's dinner so it should still be good).

I found some Pavati (cheese) and a red pepper cheese and I grated them. So, it is at least started.

I am going to make this but not tonight since I don't even know what Tiki Masala spice is or where in the grocery store to look for it.

Can you help with that. Also, we like saucy, but not that saucy. Would adding more chicken ruin the dish?

Oh NO............. :scared1::love:, I never thought dessert. I am trying to cut my desserts, but a little can't hurt, right?;):rotfl2:

BEST IDEA IN THE WORLD is the Chicken Tikka Masala recipe that someone else posted from All Recipes. Here it is in case you didn't see it:

http://allrecipes.com/recipe/chicke...masala&e8=Quick Search&event10=1&e7=Home Page

It is the best thing you've ever tasted. Instead of doing just chicken, we also grill onions and peppers to make it a bit healthier- usually do it with basmati rice.

For the naan, make sure that you heat it up- put it in a skillet with some olive oil or butter, makes it taste SOO much better!

another fan here of garlic bread on the grill ...

brush with olive oil, some garlic and salt and grill away.

yum. always gets eaten.
