MYW tickets

Hi. I need some clarification.

I am reserving two rooms for six nights each. I am purchasing four 10-day passes with all options, including no expiration. Can these passes be used by another person on a later trip? Is there any kind of ID associated with them? Two people will probably not accompany DS and I on subsequent trips. The four of us will probably only use six days and only a couple of the pluses of the 10 days this trip.

So I will have four passes with days left (at least 16 total) and a large amount of pluses. Can DS and I use them later or will the others names or ID be attached to them?

Thanks

Becky

The tickets are non-transferrable and can only be used by the person who uses the ticket the first time. Disney uses a biometric finger scan to prevent people from sharing a ticket. The tickets are also to be signed on the back by the person using the ticket. So, sorry, but you won't be able to do this. You may want to get tickets with shorter days for those who won't use all of them.

Thanks. I guess that what I will do. I didn't know about the biometric reading. I thought that was just for APs. So all passes are now biometric? The MYW passes are not like the old PHs, right?

are you planning to use the dining plan? If so, I think they require that everyone registered in the room (i.e. 1 reservation) buy the same ticket, no matter which ticket it is. The way around that (I think, no first hand experience) is to buy the least ticket option you need with the reservation, then at any guest services at any park you could upgrade just the 2 tickets you want to upgrade. You should be able to upgrade at any time during the 1st 14 days of use, as long as you're not trying to upgrade to ap. Another way around it is to put you and your DS on one hotel reservation and the otherse on the other reservation.
Just to add to the confusion, if you aren't planning to buy the dining plan, you may find that ordering tickets from one of the many online agents and doing room only reservation is cheaper (especially if you have AAA you might get a discount on the room) and you can order exactly the combination of tickets you need.
Good luck.

Yes-All MYW tickets are biometric.

Okay, let me get this straight because we are using the dining plan.

1. DS and I on one reservation with 10-day MYW tickets with all options, including no expiration. Can my DS use my pluses?

2. The two others on one reservation with 1-day MYW base tickets. Purchase two 6-day MYW passes from Ticketmania with only the park hopping feature because they will not use the pluses and do not plan to return. What will I do with the 1-day passes? If I don't activate them, will their names and biometrics still be attached to them? Can I save those for another trip for myself and DS?

I cannot get two 10-day passes like the other passes to use on a future trip because all tickets are biometric, right?

I think I understand everything, except what to do with the 1-day passes.

So, these tickets could be used later.

I think I understand everything, except what to do with the 1-day passes.

Hope this helps.
