MYW tickets from Air Canada to AP

Has anyone every bought MYW tickets through air Canada vacations and gotten to Disney and upgraded them to a AP?
I am a DVC member going in April and oct and with the dollar trying to find anyway to save money where possible. I am thinking of buying a 10 day MYW base ticket through Air Canada vacations in Canadian funds (which is about $60 lower canadian than it would be directly through Disney). Then using the first day in April and going and having it upgraded to a Gold AP (which should be the difference between the parks 10 day ticket and the AP). Will this work?

I've upgraded tickets from UCT before with no issues but never through Air Canada.

all upgrades are the same, so as long as you use one day, like you did its good. Have you checked out the new DVC ticket deal, not great but not sure how it compares to AC

I was thinking that but I keep feeling like it has to be too good to be true and I will buy them and then figure out I shouldn't have...I went on and noticed tonight they upped the price by $10 already on air canada though. I think the DVC deal only saves $10.
