MYW ticket receipt question

A friend of mine is all upset that her receipt that she was given when she purchased her non-expiring MYW pass at the MK is all smeared and can't be read. I told her that shouldn't be a problem since the info about the ticket is all on the magnetic strip. She told me the CM she purchased them from told her "Do Not Lose The Receipt!" I have never heard of anyone else posting about needing to keep the receipt to use the remaining days on non-expiring MYW tickets. Can any of you confirm that the receipt is not necessary since my friend did not seem to believe me? I will tell her to photo copy the ticket backs before they leave for their trip. Thanks. All she needs is the tickets, you are correct that all the information is on the magnetic strip on the ticket, but it also can be looked up by the numbers on the ticket itself (if the ticket becomes demagnitzed. If it is a resort ID card there is a long number underneath your name (usually starts with zeros) and if it is a regular ticket it is a series of letters and numbers on the back of the tickets starts with "W' like WTS: the ticket can be looked up with those numbers if anything is wrong. The actual receipt from the purchase is not necessary... Although I do suggest that if there are days remaining when your friend returns home (and she plans to use them in the future) make a copy of the back of the ticket (or resort ID card) in case they get misplaced they can usually help you if you have the entitlement number.

Have her write the numbers on the back of the passes to the backs of the reciept.

Where this seems like no big deal if she looses her tickets the backs might not be good enough but with the smeared reciept as well she will be OK .
