I know that the whole MYW system still has a lot of unknows, but I am working out a budget to present to my "outlaws". My mother outlaw is going to be paying for herself, one of her daugher's, and a teenaged grandson and granddaughter. My honey's sister and BIL will be paying for themselves. And finally Gabby and I will pay for our portion of this semi-magical gathering, but we arrive a day ahead of them and leave a week after them. Everyone, other than Gabby and I, lives in Florida.

The trip is planned below.

12/09/05 Friday
Meet with the family, get them checked into POP.
Counter service dinner somewhere
MVMCP

12/10/05 Saturday
Sleep in Late
Epcot
counter service lunch
sit down dinner (Rose & Crown maybe)
See Holiday Storytellers, the Tree Lighting, and Illuminations!

12/11/05 Sunday
Check the family out of POP
Go to Chef Mickey's for a late breakfast
MGM
counter service late dinner
See the Osborne Ligthts
Send the family home

Everyone will need to have MVMCP tickets.
Everyone will have to have 2 days worth of BASE MYW tickets.
Is there a Florida residence rate on the MYW tickets or packages?

I am considering telling them to book the dining option, but I need to know if that is going to work for them to use those dining options on the day that they check out. We would be buying the dining package for 2 days and that is all we really need for them. I know that if we don't use this option, our nephew and BIL would potentially eat up a rather large chunk of the budget.....literally.
Would the dining part of the package have to be used on the date of check in or could it wait until the day of check out? I hope you understand what I am trying to ask.

Thanks for any assistance that you can offer. Trying to plan a trip for just Gabby and me is maddening enough sometimes, but trying to convince super cheap relatives to spend money to stay onsite and eat onsite is a bit of a pain. I thank you all for your input. Maggie

Your schedule seems doable. If they don't want to include the dining option, just make your reservation separate from theirs, that way you can do as you wish.

As for Florida rates on MYW, haven't heard anything. Usually they do a limited time 3 or 4 day hopper twice a year for Florida residents. If a 3 day falls when you all are going, that may be the cheapest way to for them. I know that this year, the Florida rate on a Play for 4 pass for Florida residents was $119 plus tax. You really can't beat that! You will have time to decide on ticket options if you don't tie the tickets to a room package. If you decide to later, that can be done, too.
