The Plus feature you can add to the MTW tickets; are those like the old hopper plus features that you can go to the waterparks (or now DQ is added which is why we are now interested!) on day OTHER than days you go to the parks without it counting as a park day?

In other words, if I buy the 10 day premium tickets (without expiration), will that give me 10 days in the parks AND 5 days at the waterparks or DQ for a total of 15 days of activities? And that we can use this ticket over the course of several visits?

Thanks,
DJ

That is exactly right! We purchased 10 day MYW premium with no expir. passes with our package. We plan on using 5 park days this year and 5 next year. I'm not sure how we will split up the plusses (We may go to DQ once this trip since DQ is now included as a plus option) but we will hold on to them since the plusses won't expire either!!!!

Thanks! That sounds pretty good! It is a lot of money up front, but honestly, I think we would get 3 trips out of it!

I have a question to add on to this thread:

With the pluses, DH and I love Pleasure Island...Can we use our 5 pluses everynight if we so desire? Or maybe we would want to do Disney Quest in the morning and then PI at night. Does this count as using one or two? Thanks for helping me on this!

I think that with each visit (even in the same day) that uses up a plus (I could be wrong, but with the old plus features I remember being told I couldn't go to TL and BB on the same day--like hopping between waterparks, we have to stay at just one).

Here is some info I just found on Mousesavers.com:

Magic Plus Pack - This option provides the choice of admission to Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park, DisneyQuest, Downtown Disney Pleasure Island or Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex. Extra cost on top of the base-price ticket is a flat rate of $45 ($47.93 with tax). You get a set number of visits to the Magic Plus Pack attractions, depending on the length of the ticket you buy. The flat rate gives you:

1-day ticket 2-day ticket 3-day ticket 4-day ticket 5-day ticket
2 visits 2 visits 2 visits 3 visits 3 visits

6-day ticket 7-day ticket 8-day ticket 9-day ticket 10-day ticket
4 visits 5 visits 5 visits 5 visits 5 visits

As you can see, there is a big incentive to buy the longer passes, so that you'll get more "pluses" for your money. If you will be visiting the water parks and/or DisneyQuest at least twice, this add-on is definitely a good deal.

The Magic Plus Pack can be added after the initial ticket purchase. For instance, if you buy a 7-day ticket and decide on the 5th day of your vacation that you'd like to visit the water parks, you can add the Magic Plus Pack for $45 plus tax. You'll have to use the "plus" options within the original 14 days of your ticket's validity, unless you buy the No Expiration option. Such upgrades are allowed within the first 14 days (day of first use plus 13 days).

Just Disney Quest during the day and Pleasure Island (all clubs) at night -- Consumes zero days and two plusses, does not require the hopping option on your pass.

Trying to make up your mind whether to go to water parks more or PI more? See if PI is offering a five more nights for five more dollars special, if so buy a separate PI ticket and use the MYW plusses for water parks and DQ.

It depends on how your use your plusses in conjunction with your park days. Plusses are not hoppers, so if you go to a water park in the morning, Magic Kingdom in the afternoon and Pleasure Island that night, you will have used up one park day and 2 plusses.

One problem with the scenario you have set up, is unless you pay the extra $100 to have that 10 day MYW Park Hopper not expire, you will have to use everything within 14 days.

So, you can get 15 activities, but only 14 days in which to use them.

Hope that helps explain things!

Honestly, I don't even want to go to a water park, but DH does. I could use up all the pluses at PI alone. They don't have a 5 day ticket running at PI right now, but I plan on buying our tix right before we leave (April 17) so maybe something will open up before then. We are getting the non-expiration option because it will work out in case we go down for MNSVSHP in October. Thanks for the tips everyone!!!
